Panthers, Robby Anderson Agree To Two-Year Extension
3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers and wide receiver Robby Anderson agreed to a two-year, $29.5 million contract extension on Tuesday, according to sources. Anderson will now be eligible for a fourth contract at age 30, and he'll receive $14.75 million per year and more than $20 million fully guaranteed. The 28-year-old had his first 1,000-yard campaign of his career in his first year in Carolina with Teddy Bridgewater throwing him passes in 2020, and he's reunited with Sam Darnold in 2021. His 95 receptions were good enough for eighth in the league, but Anderson hasn't been much of a red-zone threat, so fantasy managers shouldn't bank on a ton of touchdowns -- he had just three last year. Anderson should remain a key cog in Carolina's offense, and he's a fine target as a WR3 for fantasy managers.
