Cavan Biggio Injures Elbow At Triple-A
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Cavan Biggio (neck/elbow) suffered a left elbow injury after diving for a ball in a rehab game at Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday. The team is in the midst of evaluating the injury and we should know more about the severity of it soon. Biggio has been out since August 3 while dealing with back and neck injuries. During this current rehab stint, he has appeared in seven games at Triple-A, going just 3-for-22. Biggio was struggling at the plate in the majors before his initial injuries. Through 77 games with the Blue Jays this year, he has slashed .215/.316/.350 with seven home runs, 26 RBI and 26 runs. He can be dropped if you need to use his IL spot for another more valuable player.
