K.J. Hamler Scores Another Touchdown
3 years agoDenver Broncos second-year wide receiver K.J. Hamler only caught one of his two targets for two yards against the Seattle Seahawks in the team's second preseason game on Saturday, but that lone reception was a two-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. On just three catches in two preseason games, Hamler has two touchdowns. The 22-year-old had just 30 catches for 381 yards and three touchdowns and dealt with nagging injuries in his rookie campaign, but he looks to be making his case for the No. 3 receiver job in Denver with Tim Patrick dealing with injuries in training camp. The 5-foot-9, 181-pound Hamler is speedy and can make splash plays deep, but those big plays will be hard to predict, especially if Bridgewater wins the starting job under center. Hamler is unlikely to be drafted in standard 12-team leagues, but he's an intriguing late-round flier in deeper redraft leagues, and he'll be a waiver wire pickup if anything happens to Courtland Sutton or Jerry Jeudy.
