Darrell Henderson Jr. Expected To Be Ready For Week 1
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (thumb) suffered a mildly sprained thumb in practice on Monday and is expected to be ready for the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears, according to a source. As the clear-cut lead running back with Cam Akers (Achilles) done for the year, this is excellent news for the Rams and fantasy managers. The 24-year-old has yet to see action in the preseason, though, and injury issues are a real concern for him as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 this season. Henderson's fantasy managers would love to see him play before Week 1, but it remains to be seen if that happens. If anything were to happen to Henderson during the regular season, Xavier Jones, Jake Funk and Otis Anderson would see more opportunities behind him.
