Aaron Civale To Make Rehab Start Sunday
3 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Aaron Civale (finger) will make a rehab start with Double-A Akron on Sunday, the RubberDucks announced Saturday on Twitter. Civale has been out since the end of June with a sprained middle finger, and just threw a two-inning simulated game earlier this week. Over 15 starts this season, Civale has gone 10-2 with a 3.32 ERA, 1.065 WHIP and 19.8 percent strikeout rate over 97 2/3 innings. He'll likely require another rehab start or two before he can return, but he should be able to rejoin the Indians in time to have an impact in the fantasy playoffs.
