Anthony DeSclafani Has MRI, No Structural Damage Found
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) underwent an MRI after exiting his start on Wednesday with ankle soreness, and the results came back showing no structural damage, according to Maria Guardado of MLB.com. Guardado reports that DeSclafani received a cortisone shot and is being considered day-to-day. This is good news for managers, as DeSclafani has had a nice year on the mound, going 11-5 with a 3.26 ERA, 1.085 WHIP and 23 percent strikeout rate over 132 2/3 innings of work. Keep an eye out for further updates on his condition, but it looks like he should be back relatively soon.
