Antonio Gibson Looking More Comfortable At Running Back
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson was thrust into a heavy workload out of the backfield in his rookie year in 2020, despite very limited reps at running back across his football career. Gibson rushed 170 times for 795 yards and 11 touchdowns last year, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. This year, according to Washington head coach Ron Rivera, Gibson is more comfortable at running back than he was last year. Gibson seemed to agree with Rivera, telling the media, "I'm coming along well. Last year I wasn't where I needed to be. This year, it's about having your eyes in the right spot." Gibson has a lot of upside and as such, he's a fantastic target in the late second round or early third round of drafts.
