Brandon McManus Perfect In First Preseason Game
3 years agoDenver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus made his lone field-goal attempt from 34 yards and all four of his extra-point tries in the 33-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday in the team's preseason opener. McManus led the league with 10 field goals of 50-plus yards last season, but he also missed as many extra-point tries (three) as he had in his entire career heading into the 2020 season. The 30-year-old made 82.4 percent of his 34 field-goal attempts last year, but he was mostly inconsistent for fantasy purposes because of quarterback Drew Lock's and the offense's struggles overall. Denver has plenty of weapons on offense, so McManus has the potential to be a solid low-end starter at the position, especially in leagues that reward extra points for longer kicks.
