Daniel Hudson Takes Loss Against Rockies
3 years agoSan Diego Padres relief pitcher Daniel Hudson entered Monday night's game against the Colorado Rockies in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied, but he wasn't able to keep the Rockies off the board. He took the loss in a close 6-5 game, allowing a one-out walk-off home run to C.J. Cron. It's his 2nd loss in what has been a very solid season for the right-hander. With Drew Pomeranz out for the year, Hudson could be the primary set-up man to closer Mark Melancon. This makes him a value in holds leagues, and primes him for a bigger role should Melancon face any injury or performance issues.
