Nick Senzel Activated From IL, Optioned To Triple-A
3 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel (knee) was activated from the 60-day injured list on Sunday and optioned to Triple-A Louisville, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Senzel has been out of action since mid-May due to arthroscopic knee surgery, and prior to the injury he was slashing .252/.323/.315 with one homer, two steals, eight RBI and 18 runs scored over 36 games. General manager Nick Krall said that the decision to keep Senzel at Triple-A was to maintain some depth on their roster, as Senzel still had options remaining. It's unclear just when Senzel could get called up to rejoin Cincinnati, but the reality is it's unlikely he'll have much value in fantasy to close out the year.
