Eric Haase Breaks Slump With His 19th Home Run
3 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher/outfielder Eric Haase went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's game against the Cleveland Indians. The home run was his 19th of the year and it was a much-needed bomb for him as he'd been struggling at the plate lately. He'd gone 0-for-13 over his previous four games before this one and he's slashing just .171/.227/.293 in August. Haase has been a great surprise for the Tigers and for fantasy this year. Over 69 games, he's slashing .234/.290/.512 with 47 RBI and 40 runs to go along with the aforementioned 19 home runs. He is still a solid starting catcher option for fantasy managers for now even though he's hit a rough patch recently.
