Stephen Strasburg Transferred To 60-Day Injured List
3 years agoThe Washington Nationals transferred starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg (neck) to the 60-day injured list on Wednesday. The move wasn't a surprise as Strasburg underwent neurogenic thoracic outlet surgery in late July. He will be out for the remainder of the 2021 season. Strasburg was only able to make five starts this year. Over those five starts, he went 1-2 with a 4.57 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP. The Nationals are hopeful that he will be ready for spring training in 2022, but they will certainly be cautious and patient with his rehabilitation given his injury history.
