K.J. Hamler's Speed Has Been Impossible To Miss
3 years agoDenver Broncos second-year wide receiver K.J. Hamler's speed has been impossible to miss early in training camp. "I've been really impressed with KJ out here," tight end Noah Fant said. "He's shown a lot of really good things. The guy can run. He's going to be really good for us." Hamler caught a 50-year touchdown pass from quarterback Drew Lock on the third official day of camp. The 22-year-old pass-catcher dealt with nagging injuries in his rookie season and recently missed some time due to the league's COVID-19 protocols, but Hamler is currently healthy and competing with Tim Patrick for the No. 3 receiving job behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Hamler's speed should allow him to make splash plays in this offense, but it'll be impossible to predict, and he won't be nearly as attractive as a home run threat if Teddy Bridgewater wins the QB competition. Hamler is an interesting dynasty/keeper asset, but he's likely to go undrafted in most standard 12-team redraft leagues.
