Pick 1: More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)
Recommended Prop Pick: Chase Elliott MORE 19.5 Fantasy Points and Kyle Larson MORE 18.5 Fantasy Points
The road course king and Larson are expected to be two of the better fantasy point producers at Watkins Glen on Sunday and we are fortunate to have both leading off here but...
For a driver like Chase Elliott, the question will be how long does it take him to get to the front? He starts from the 11th position on Sunday and will have to negotiate through the field. That is something he has masterfully done at Watkins Glen before. This is a driver that has led 73.33% of the laps in the last two races at the track (2018 and 2019). Keep in mind that due to COVID, there was no race last year. Also, there are only 90 laps so that means the potential for only nine points via laps led. Elliott will still have ample chance to hit the more just by winning. However, he will likely add some laps led points as well. Take the MORE here.
Kyle Larson is still so close to leading the points race despite having the best car so far in 2021. Think of some of the crazier things that can happen to a driver. The Hendricks Motorsports Racing Driver has pretty much seen it all over the month before the Olympic Break. Thankfully, that is over and Larson can look ahead to erasing that 13-point deficit on Denny Hamlin for the overall points lead. The No. 5 is expected to have an excellent car and benefits from starting fourth unlike the rest of the Hendrick cars on Sunday. He should have the chance to lead some laps before Elliott charges to the front. Again, Larson has a good chance of even winning this race. He did win at Sonoma and finishing second or third combined with laps led leads us to be bullish and take the MORE.

Pick 2: More or Less Fantasy Points (2/2)
Recommended Prop Pick: Joey Logano LESS 16.5 Fantasy Points, Denny Hamlin LESS 16.5 Fantasy Points
This prop is a nasty one because of how Logano and Hamlin can race on road courses. What does one do?
Joey Logano could easily lead a few laps and take a top-five finish here. That is a big concern. The Team Penske driver has a unique ability to drive the hell out of a race car especially on the road courses. Logano typically does not do as well at Watkins Glen though as he does on other courses which involve left and right turns. As a matter of fact, the No. 22 has not even really contended the last two races in Upstate New York. There is a chance that could happen again. It will be rather close and may require a good sweat. Take the LESS here.
These point totals are interesting with Denny Hamlin also. He just never has shown that ability to get to the clean air to lead. So, laps led look to be out which means the Joe Gibbs Racing driver would have to finish fourth to have a shot at the prop. Hamlin does have one top-ten in the last two attempts at Watkins Glen but that average finish of eighth is dicey. If he is too far back to lead enough, that makes our decision pretty easy here. So, expect more of the same this week and therefore take the LESS here.
