Salvador Perez Homers In Wednesday's Win
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez helped lead the team to a 9-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. He went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the game. The home run was his 27th of the year, which is tied for fifth-most in the majors. Perez had gone just 1-for-12 with five strikeouts in his previous three games before this one, so it was nice to see him break out of his brief slump in a big way. Through 106 games on the year, Perez is slashing .276/.304/.514 with 68 RBI and 50 runs to go along with his 27 homers. He ranks in the 98th percentile in hard-hit rate (55.8%) and in the 95th percentile in average exit velocity (93 mph).
