Josh Fleming Picks Up Ninth Win
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Josh Fleming (9-5) allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out six across five innings to earn the win during Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners. He was sharp in Wednesday's win; the southpaw didn't walk anyone and has now struck out at least six batters in back-to-back starts. The 25-year-old threw 79 pitches, firing 49 for strikes. Fleming owns a 4.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 57:22 K: BB across 87 1/3 innings in 2021. The Rays left-hander has pitched well recently and should be rostered in deep-league formats. Fleming will look to keep things rolling in Wednesday's start against the Boston Red Sox.
