3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers first round draft pick Trey Lance has been showing off his mobility and big arm at camp this week. He threw a 50-yard rocket touchdown to Trent Sherfield while rolling out to his left on Tuesday. Lance is a high-capital draft pick (he was picked third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft), but is still behind Jimmy Garoppolo on the Niners' depth chart. Keep an eye on Lance's progression this preseason and camp– should he make the leap to the starter, he offers a rushing baseline that few quarterbacks offer. Lance is currently going in the double-digit rounds, meaning he could be worth a flier and stash in the event that he takes over the 49ers offense.--bgibbons04
