Freddie Freeman Slashing .289/.393/.501 After Strong July
3 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman was lagging in the batting average department in the early going this year. He was hitting just .235 by the end of May and he had a .261/.368/.474 slash line when the calendar turned to July. However, he went on to have his best all-around month at the plate in July. Over 26 games last month, Freeman slashed .375/.470/.594 with six home runs, 15 RBI and 23 runs. He struck out just 13 times while walking 16 times. The 2020 National League MVP has certainly rewarded patient fantasy managers lately and he should continue to mash through the end of the year.
