Luis Severino Sent To Double-A For Rehab Assignment
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (groin) is being sent out on a rehab assignment at Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. The plan is for Severino to throw between 40 and 50 pitches in his first rehab outing. Severino is recovering from a Grade 2 right groin strain, which he suffered while working his way back from Tommy John surgery. The hope is that Severino will be able to join the Yankees' rotation by late August, assuming no further setbacks.
