Jonathan Schoop Doubles And Scores Twice On Thursday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop returned to the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. He was a late scratch from Wednesday's game due to back tightness, but was able to give it a go on Thursday. In Thursday's game, Schoop went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. He is now slashing .286/.327/.464 with 17 home runs, 61 RBI and 56 runs over 100 games on the year. He ranks in the 99th percentile in the league in max exit velocity (117.1 mph). His current hard-hit rate (40.1%) is the highest it's been since 2015 (40.8%). Keep getting him in your lineup as he has continued to produce strong, consistent numbers since the middle of May.
