Eric Haase Hits A Grand Slam In Tuesday's Win
3 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher/outfielder Eric Haase came through with a clutch grand slam in the team's 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Haase came up with the bases loaded and the Tigers trailing 5-1 in the ninth inning. He went on to hit his first career grand slam and 17th home run of the year in the at-bat. The Tigers eventually won the game in 11 innings. The grand slam was Haase's only hit of the day as he went 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts. He is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak that has included four home runs. He's slashing .242/.290/.552 over 54 games on the year.
