Miguel Cabrera Hits His Eighth Home Run On Monday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins. The home run was Cabrera's eighth of the year and his first in July. Over 78 games on the year, Cabrera is slashing .235/.290/.343 with 43 RBI and 31 runs. He has a .279 wOBA that ranks in the bottom 8% of the league and his .223 xBA is a career-worst clip. He's had some spurts of success, such as when he slashed .329/.356/.494 in June, but it's been a quiet year overall for the future Hall of Famer. For now, he can remain on waivers in all leagues.
