Joe Ross Throws Five Shutout Innings In Return From IL
3 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross made his return from the injured list Monday, throwing five shutout innings with just three hits and two walks allowed to the Philadelphia Phillies. He struck out four batters, but was stuck with a no-decision when relief pitcher Brad Hand blew the save in the ninth inning. Ross appeared to have very little rust, except for experiencing some fatigue after the fifth inning which led to his removal from the game. He now has a 3.80 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 95 strikeouts in 92 1/3 innings this season. He should be added in all but the deepest of formats.
