Wily Peralta Gives Up Five Runs In Loss To Royals
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Wily Peralta had a rough outing against the Kansas City Royals on Friday. Peralta pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed five hits, three walks and five earned runs while striking out three. He earned the loss, his second of the year. Through eight games (seven starts) this year, Peralta is 3-2 with a 2.56 ERA, a 1.01 WHIP and a 1.6 K/BB ratio. He'd turned in quality starts in two of his previous three outings before this one and was becoming a hot waiver wire pickup in fantasy. His low 15.9% strikeout rate gives him very little fantasy upside and also very little room for error. He can be left on waivers or dropped by fantasy owners for a more enticing option out there. His next start will be on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
