Yandy Diaz A Double Shy From The Cycle In Return
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Yandy Diaz (neck) went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a triple, and an additional run scored in Thursday's 5-4 extra-inning win over Cleveland. He returned to the lineup Thursday after missing the previous two games with neck spasms. The 29-year-old came back with a vengeance and was a double shy from hitting for the cycle. He is slashing .261/.378/.366 with six home runs, 33 RBI, 39 runs scored, and a .744 OPS over 339 plate appearances in 2021. Diaz continues to be a fantasy asset in OBP formats and should be rostered in most leagues.
