3 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels optioned outfielder Taylor Ward to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday. He will return to the minors, and veteran outfielder Justin Upton (back) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Ward sat in two of the last five games but played well recently. The 27-year-old went 5-for-11 with a homer, two doubles, and three RBI over his previous four games. Ward can be dropped in most leagues as Upton will regain his role as the team's primary left fielder. The 33-year-old is slashing .242/.331/.471 with 14 homers, 32 RBI, and 40 runs scored across 280 plate appearances in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
