Michael A. Taylor Leaves With Wrist Discomfort
3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Michael A. Taylor (wrist) left the game early on Wednesday with left wrist discomfort. Ryan McBroom came on to pinch hit for Taylor in the sixth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers. It's unclear if this is a serious enough injury to land Taylor on the injured list, so stay tuned. The veteran outfielder has settled in as Kansas City's everyday center field, which gives him value for his power-speed combination in AL-only leagues. Coming into the game on Wednesday, Taylor was hitting .246/.305/.363 with eight home runs, 38 runs scored, 33 RBI and six stolen bases in nine attempts. Jarrod Dyson could see more playing time in center if Taylor is forced to miss extended time, or the Royals could also move the versatile Whit Merrifield to the outfield.
