Devin Williams, Brad Boxberger Play Catch Tuesday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Devin Williams (elbow) and Brad Boxberger (shoulder) had successful throwing sessions on Tuesday. Williams is hopeful his injured list stint will be for the minimum 10 days, while Boxberger is confident he won't land on the injured list. Williams is dealing with some minor elbow discomfort, so hopefully fantasy managers will have him back soon. The 26-year-old doesn't have any saves but remains useful for his ratios (2.97 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, 14.0 K/9) in high-leverage situations out of the bullpen in deeper leagues. Boxberger doesn't quite have the strikeout upside that Williams possesses and has struggled with walks (4.4 per nine innings), but he has three saves and a nice 3.03 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 38 2/3 relief innings in Milwaukee this year.
