Jonathan Schoop Hits His 17th Home Run On Sunday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers second baseman Jonathan Schoop went into the All-Star break as one of the league's hottest hitters and he's shown no signs of slowing down since play resumed. Schoop went 3-for-7 in the team's doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, then went on to go 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBI in Sunday's game. Schoop is now slashing .284/.325/.476 with 17 home runs, 56 RBI and 48 runs over 91 games on the year. He's a must-start player in all fantasy formats while he remains hot. 12 of his 17 home runs have come since the start of June.
