Jake Fraley Remains Out Saturday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jake Fraley (illness) remains out of the starting lineup on Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels. Fraley was scratched from the lineup on Friday with the illness, and he needs at least one more day to recover. Jake Bauers will start in left field and hit ninth against Angels right-hander Alex Cobb on Saturday night. Fraley has been getting on base (.409 on-base percentage) while providing modest power and speed (seven homers, seven steals) in 114 at-bats, but his batting average (.237) leaves a lot to be desired. Bauers won't be a very attractive DFS or season-long play, especially in the nine-hole. He has just three round-trippers in 2021 and is hitting .195 (29-for-149) with 36 strikeouts against righties this year.
