Jed Lowrie Sitting Saturday
3 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Cleveland Indians. Lowrie will get a day to rest after providing the heroics on Friday night with a walk-off home run off Indians reliever Emmanuel Clase in the bottom of the ninth inning. The veteran infielder didn't play at all last year and saw action in just nine games in 2019 with the New York Mets, so most fantasy managers wanted nothing to do with him, but he's defied expectations with his 11 home runs, 45 RBI and .269/.340/.436 slash line in 338 plate appearances in his return to Oakland. Tony Kemp is filling in at the keystone on Saturday and is batting eighth against Indians right-hander Cal Quantrill. The left-handed hitter has minimal power and some speed but will be a low-upside DFS option at the bottom of the batting order.
