Josh Fleming Starting On Saturday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays left-hander Josh Fleming will get the start on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves. It will be Fleming's seventh start of the season this year in 15 appearances. He's been used as a bulk pitcher for the Rays, too, but he'll start this one off and makes for an interesting streamer in DFS and deeper leagues because of his 3.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 42/17 K/BB in 69 innings in 2021. Fleming's 15.3 percent strikeout rate doesn't leave a whole lot of upside, though, but Atlanta's lineup isn't as scary now with Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) out for the rest of the season. The 25-year-old left-hander went 6 1/3 innings in his last start for the Rays on June 19 against the Seattle Mariners.
