Danny Duffy Holds Orioles To One Run Over Four Innings
3 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy had a short, but effective outing against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. Duffy pitched four innings and allowed two hits, one walk and one earned run while striking out three. After the game, Duffy told reporters that his leg tightened up when he went to cover first base during a play in the fourth inning, which led to him being removed from the game after just 54 pitches. Duffy didn't seem to be concerned that he was in jeopardy of missing his next start, which will be next Friday against the Detroit Tigers, assuming he isn't traded before then.
