Carlos Santana Blasts Two Home Runs Against Former Team
3 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Carlos Santana had a memorable revenge game against his former team, the Cleveland Indians, on Thursday. He went 2-for-3 with a walk and a pair of solo home runs in the game. It was his first multi-home run game of the year. He's seen his power drop off a good amount lately. In June, he slugged just .340 while hitting only three home runs and three doubles over 100 at-bats. However, he's off to a promising start to the month of July. Over eight games this month, he's slashing .385/.500/.692. He has also continued to maintain elite plate discipline numbers. His 15% strikeout rate ranks in the 90th percentile and his 15.8% walk rate ranks in the 97th percentile.
