Elehuris Montero Goes Deep Twice In The Minors
3 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Elehuris Montero had his first multi-homer game on Wednesday for Double-A Hartford since 2018. The 22-year-old finished the night 3-for-4 with two RBI and nine total bases, which was his fourth multi-hit game in his last 10 contests. Montero is now hitting .251/.345/.482 with 11 home runs through 54 games for Hartford. He could become a really nice major league hitter with the type of bat speed and raw power that should allow him to make consistent hard contact from the right side of the plate. Whether he stays at third base or moves to first base in the long run, Montero has some intriguing power that will certainly play in fantasy at Coors Field, and there's a chance that we could see him make his major league debut later this year.
