3 years agoThe Oakland Athletics placed infielder/outfielder Chad Pinder (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list on Thursday and purchased the contract of infielder Jacob Wilson from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Pinder tweaked his hamstring late in Wednesday night's game. He hadn't been much of an option in the deepest of leagues this year, hitting just .216/.269/.358 with three home runs and 13 RBI in 134 at-bats. Wilson will be making his major league debut when he gets into a game. The 30-year-old had 14 home runs and 46 RBI while hitting .288/.385/.630 at Las Vegas in 49 games before his call-up. Wilson has a higher offensive ceiling than Pinder, but he'll likely just be serving in somewhat of a super-utility bench role in Oakland.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
