Albert Pujols Starting At First Base Against Lefty
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Albert Pujols will draw into the lineup at first base and bat second on Wednesday against Miami Marlins left-hander Ross Detwiler. Pujols doesn't have a ton of upside at this point in his career, but he's been decent with the Dodgers as a part-time player and is hitting a nice .313/.353/.638 with eight of his 11 home runs and 21 RBI in 85 plate appearances against them. And although it's an extremely small sample size, the Machine has two RBI and a hit in two career at-bats against the lefty Detwiler. Pujols is worth a low-cost contrarian play in daily setups against the southpaw in the Dodgers loaded lineup.
