Amari Cooper Could Be Cutting It Close For Training Camp
3 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper (foot) is still recovering from foot surgery, and with the team scheduled to depart for training camp on July 20 with the first workout scheduled for July 22, Cooper will be "cutting it close" in terms of his rehab being complete in time for a debut on the first workout day. The Cowboys are unconcerned about any long-term issues, but Cooper may not be ready for the first few training camp workouts. Cooper underwent a routine cleanup procedure in January, and it's notable that he's still rehabbing. Despite minor injury issues, he did start all 16 games last year, catching 92 passes for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns. Unless he suffers a setback in training camp, fantasy managers should feel comfortable drafting him as a strong WR2 with quarterback Dak Prescott returning in 2021.
