Niko Goodrum Back With The Tigers
3 years agoThe Detroit Tigers activated utility man Niko Goodrum (finger) from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. Goodrum has been out since June 19 with a sprained tendon in his left index finger, but he should continue to serve as a super-utility man around the diamond for the Tigers. However, he's not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers. Before his injury, the 29-year-old switch-hitter was batting just .216/.297/.330 with five home runs, 27 runs scored, 17 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 219 plate appearances over 59 games. His biggest asset to fantasy managers in deep mixed and AL-only leagues is his multi-position eligibility, and he can also provide some nice speed.
