3 years agoThe San Francisco Giants called up right-hander Tyler Beede from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday and placed outfielder Jaylin Davis (hamstring) on the injured list with a Grade 1 hamstring strain in a corresponding move. Outfielder Jason Vosler was also called up from Sacramento, while right-hander Jimmie Sherfy was designated for assignment. Beede will be making his first appearance since 2019 after having Tommy John surgery last spring, and he could be an option to start against the Washington Nationals on Friday. He's had trouble with his command in the minors this year and had a 6.56 ERA and 32 walks in 35 2/3 innings over 12 starts on the farm, so he'll be an extremely risky fantasy streamer if he enters the Giants rotation to close out the first half of the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
