Tyrod Taylor Ready To Contribute In Houston
3 years agoHouston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor is ready to contribute in his first season in Houston after spending the last two seasons backing up Philip Rivers and Justin Herbert in Los Angeles. Taylor has plenty of experience, winning a Super Bowl as a backup with Baltimore in 20212 and playing in 43 games for the Buffalo Bills from 2015 to 2017. The 11-year veteran has completed 61.4 percent of his passes with 54 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in his career. Taylor has familiarity with the Texans coaching staff, which was a big reason why he signed with them. Head coach David Culley coached in Buffalo when Taylor was the starter, and he also spent time with passing-game coordinator Pep Hamilton in LA and offensive line coach James Campen in Cleveland. If Deshaun Watson is traded or suspended, Taylor would likely be the team's starting QB. He has some rushing ability, but he'd mainly be a low-end QB2 in two-QB leagues.
