Henry Ruggs III Has Been Impressive
3 years agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, who disappointed with just 26 catches for 452 yards in 13 games as a rookie after being a first-round pick, has worked hard this offseason to get bigger and has impressed quarterback Derek Carr. "Man, he's been impressive," Carr said. "The way he's running routes. He's being violent in his cuts. I think something clicked in his head." Although Ruggs struggled as a rookie, he did help take the top off defenses and open things up for other pass-catchers. The No. 12 overall pick will be hoping to rebound after not seeing more than five targets or catching more than three passes in a game in 2020. The departure of Nelson Agholor could open up more of a role for Ruggs in his second season, but fantasy managers probably aren't spending anything more than a late-round choice on Ruggs until the Raiders show that they can get him more involved.
