Josh Donaldson Not On The Mets Radar
3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins will be sellers at this month's trade deadline and the New York Mets are expected to be an active buyer, but third baseman Josh Donaldson is not currently on the Mets radar. The Mets got Jonathan Villar back from the injured list on Sunday and will be getting J.D. Davis back soon as well, so an upgrade at the hot corner might not be a priority in the Big Apple as we get closer to the deadline at the end of the month. On top of it, Donaldson left the game on Saturday with hamstring tightness and wasn't in the lineup on Sunday. With a history of lower-body injuries, interested teams will want to make sure that the 35-year-old won't break down if they decide to trade for him. Donaldson is hitting .252/.347/.491 with 13 home runs and 34 RBI on the year, and his fantasy value could be on the rise if he's dealt to a contender.
