Matt Manning Allows Seven Hits In Short Outing On Sunday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning struggled once again in Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox. Manning pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits, one walk and two earned runs without recording a strikeout. Through four MLB starts, Manning now has an ERA of 7.94 and he's recorded just six strikeouts over 17 innings. His previous outing before this one was even worse as he gave up nine earned runs over 3 2/3 innings. It's hard to imagine the Tigers will keep him up if he continues to struggle like this. As of now, his next start is scheduled for Friday against the Minnesota Twins.
