Edward Olivares Hits His First Home Run On Saturday
3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Edward Olivares went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. The home run was his first long ball and first extra-base hit of the year. He has been back and forth between the majors and Triple-A over the past month and a half. He's started three of the team's last four games now and could continue to see semi-regular playing time with Andrew Benintendi (ribs) sidelined. Over 11 games in the majors this year, Olivares is slashing .242/.265/.333.
