Patrick Wisdom Not Starting On Saturday
3 years agoChicago Cubs corner infielder Patrick Wisdom is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. Wisdom went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Friday. Despite the rough day, Wisdom is hitting .294 (5-for-17) with a homer and five RBI in the last week. He's been great for the Cubs in 2021 with a slash line of .283/.347/.674 with 11 home runs, 18 runs scored and 19 RBI in 35 games. Kris Bryant is at the hot corner and is batting second, while Rafael Ortega will get a start in center field and hit eighth against Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle. Bryant is obviously the better DFS option in this one in the two-hole. Ortega has two home runs and four RBI in 53 at-bats for the Cubs this year in a reserve role.
