Trevor Larnach, Max Kepler Sitting Against A Lefty
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielders Trevor Larnach and Max Kepler will take a seat on Saturday against the Kansas City Royals and left-hander Danny Duffy. Alex Kirilloff is in right field and is batting cleanup, while Luis Arraez gets the start in left field while hitting eighth in the batting order. In his first major league season, Larnach is hitting .248/.351/.409 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 45 games. In the last two weeks, he's hitting just .220 (9-for-41) with 14 strikeouts and one homer. Kepler has struggled to the tune of a .200/.296/.388 slash line with six homers, 27 RBI and seven steals in 170 at-bats. Despite facing a southpaw, Kirilloff is a great daily play on Saturday with his .298 (14-for-47) average against lefties. The 23-year-old has held his own in his rookie season, slashing .271/.309/.447 with six homers and 28 RBI in 181 plate appearances.
