Shohei Ohtani Doesn't Last Long Against Yankees
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani, who had hit three home runs in the first two games of the series in the Bronx against the New York Yankees, walked four and hit a batter while being charged with seven runs before being removed in just two-thirds of an inning on Wednesday. Ohtani had walked five hitters in his last four starts combined and entered the day with a 2.58 ERA in 11 outings. After the rough outing against the Yankees, his ERA now sits at 3.60. The two-way superstar walked the first three hitters he faced and was pulled by skipper Joe Maddon after throwing just 41 pitches (20 for strikes). Ohtani is human after all, at least on the mound. Don't be afraid to throw him back out there in his next start as he looks to bounce back.
