Mark Canha Receives PRP Injections, Could Return Soon
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Mark Canha (hips) received platelet-rich plasma injections in both of his hips, according to manager Bob Melvin. Canha doesn't have any structural damage to the surgically repaired part of his hip, though, and he could be back with the team in the next few days. Fantasy managers and the A's alike should be very pleased with this news, as the 32-year-old outfielder was hitting .255/.375/.450 with an .826 OPS, 11 home runs, 55 runs scored, 33 RBI and even seven stolen bases in 271 at-bats at the time of his injury. If for some reason Canha was dropped in your league, he needs to be added ASAP. He's been especially valuable in leagues that count on-base percentage.
