Anthony Rizzo Hopes To Be Back In A Couple Days
3 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) said that his back is doing better and that he's hopeful to return to the lineup "in a couple days." Rizzo is out of the starting lineup once again on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers. The 31-year-old has dealt with similar back issues before, so the Cubs are playing this one safe. Rizzo is hitting just .229/.297/.458 with five home runs and 13 RBI in the month of June as well, so fantasy managers will be hoping that a little bit of time off can rejuvenate him heading into the second half of the season. Patrick Wisdom is at first base and is batting second against Brewers left-handed opener Aaron Ashby on Wednesday. Wisdom has been hot in just 95 plate appearances for the Cubbies, slashing .279/.347/.698 with 11 home runs and 17 RBI, so he makes for an appealing DFS commodity in a bullpen day for the Brew Crew.
